“Death is not the same for everyone.” From Udine to Cosenza, the ultras’ protest spreads

Cava de’ Tirreni, Palermo and then again Monopoli, Cremona – both on the home side and on the guest side (Salernitana) – Castellammare di Stabia, Udine, Cosenza, Cerignola up to Brindisi, Casale, San Severino Marche and Gavi. On the Saturday just passed, in many corners, or outside the stadiums, banners bearing the same words: “13-10-24, death is not the same for everyone” multiplied.

An explicit and direct message against the football institutions – FIGC and Leagues – to protest against the lack of minute’s silence, and the postponement of the Foggia-Catania match, to remember the three young Foggia fans Michele Biccari, 17 years old, Gaetano Gentile, 21 years old, and Samuel Del Grande, 13 years old – died when returning from a trip in a road accident. A decision that has raised strong controversy in the ultras world, and not only, who wanted to denounce the different weight that deaths have.
