This is the text: “Manchester City strongly condemns the racist insults that Kyle Walker was subjected to after last night’s match. We refuse to tolerate any kind of discrimination, whether it takes place in stadiums or online. We will offer Kyle our full support after the disgusting treatment he received.”
The English defender recently published a screenshot showing one of the messages he received: “Brother, you can go fuck yourself and die, you’re just a stupid nigger,” we read. The England defender then added: “No one should ever suffer the type of vile, racist and threatening abuse I received online after last night’s match. Instagram and the authorities need to put a stop to this kind of thing, for the sake of everyone who suffers from online abuse. This is not acceptable. To our fans: we will continue to work as a team to do better and resolve the situation together.”
