Potter: “We’ll run out of adjectives for Cole Palmer. What he’s doing is rare”

Graham Potter he is still without a team after being sacked from Chelsea on April 2, 2023. The technician, interviewed by Sky Sports Premier Leaguetalked about his situation like this: “It’s never good to lose your job. At the end of the day, you have to treat it as a learning experience and an opportunity to grow and improve. I’m grateful for the opportunity and the experience. With the Blues was tough and challenging, but there were also positive moments.”

What do you think of Cole Palmer and his performances?
“He was brilliant. We will run out of adjectives. His technical level is incredibly high, he is so calm. He can score many goals in different ways. What he is doing is rare for any player, wherever he comes from. He is a top, a top player”.

A few days ago at Telegraph he had spoken like this: “I’ve felt ready to come back for some time now. Of course, it has to be the right club, but I can’t wait. I still have great enthusiasm and I will take every opportunity that comes my way, trying to judge it very carefully. Not long ago Eddie Howe left Bournemouth after they were relegated; he took 18 months off and now he’s at Newcastle and doing fantastic things.

If we look at how Unai Emery was received after leaving Arsenal… Look now at what he is doing. This is our job, football is a continuous challenge. I consider Chelsea an incredible experience, even if it didn’t go the way I would have liked. I have to take responsibility for it, but I think I’ve grown and I’ll become a better coach, that’s for sure.”
