One of the best surprises of this start of the season at Juventus is without a doubt Nicolò Savona. The Juventus full-back, who started with the lights off, managed to carve out a lot of space for himself under Thiago Motta, also establishing himself in the first team. He talked about it Michele Puglisiagent born in 2003, spoke on the microphone of Bianconeranews.it: “As an agent, I make different assessments, perhaps not immediately, but a little more long-term. If someone had asked me, already at the beginning of the year I would have said that Savona would be part of the group despite its young age. He probably skipped a bit in doing it right from the start.”
How do you rate Nicolò’s season so far?
“I undoubtedly rate it very positively. We are “only” at the beginning, in the sense that it is not really the beginning of the season, but I think there is still a lot of time for the season to end. For this first period I am honestly happy with what Nicolò is doing, but above all with how he is doing it. To date, knowing that we still have a lot of work to do, I think he is on a good path.”
Some time ago Nicolò said that he didn’t expect to start so strong this season. Unlike him, did you imagine a sprint start in Savona or did this start surprise you?
“I think that the two aspects should be separated. I believe Nicolò was referring to a strong start, relating to the environment, the level and the type of team he joined. Precisely for this reason today, honestly, this makes us think that he definitely made a sprint start. From my point of view we need to think differently. As much as I think the player is an important profile, I expected him to be able to perform at this kind of level. After that you also have to be realistic and this start was probably the best possible. In any case, I’m happy because he did and is doing well.”
