The last image on Instagram was dated June 26th. Now, in the midst of the Roma crisis and the search for a new coach, Daniele De Rossi has returned to speaking (also) via his social media. After a very long silence, therefore, the former Giallorossi dedicated a post to his official entry into the Hall of Fame of Italian football: “It is a great honor to have joined the Hall of Fame of Italian football. I thank the FIGC , the Football Museum Foundation and the jury of sports journalists, for including me among the players who have written the history of our football. Reading the names of those who preceded me leaves me incredulous and infinitely proud. Thank you.”
No reference to Roma, therefore, who in the meantime is deciding the future of the bench after the dismissal of Juric (who in turn had taken De Rossi’s place not without heavy controversy from the Giallorossi environment and beyond). The comments on the post, inevitably, are almost entirely from Roma fans, including messages of esteem, apologies and even requests for his return to the Giallorossi.
