V. Verona, the Paralympic football team presented. Marani and Tommasi present

Today in Verona, at the Fonderia Aperta Theatre, Virtus Verona presented the team that will participate in the FIGC Experimental Paralympic Football Division championship.

The project was born in collaboration with Aias and represents a further step in the promotion of barrier-free inclusion through sport, at the service of the community and athletes with disabilities. The President of Serie C attended the event Matteo Marani and the Mayor of Verona Damiano Tommasi. Always involved in social issues, the rossoblù association wishes to offer an additional opportunity in its territory, not only sporting, but also human. An initiative that aims to provide children with disabilities the opportunity to express their potential, establish new friendships and overcome challenges together on and off the pitch, upholding the values ​​of respect and mutual support.

The Virtussina team, made up of 15 athletes led by coach Davide Cisamolo, has already started training sessions at the “Mirko Mazzola” sports center in Verona, a facility also used by the Rossoblù First Team, in view of the new season. The group, already close-knit, meets twice a week to share their passion for football and, also through the club’s coaches and collaborators, develop their skills and build a team spirit that goes beyond the playing field. The program of the new championship, with matches for seven players per team, will be drawn up every day with a start scheduled for the end of November.
