No to Real Madrid, who wanted Modric as the new one: Martin Baturina remains in Zagreb

As reported by Sky Sportsin the last few hours Martin BaturinaCroatian midfielder from Dinamo Zagreb who had been a very important target for Fiorentina in the summer, would have rejected an offer from Real Madrid. The Madrid team is particularly suffering from the absence of a player like Toni Kroos, which has increased Luka Modric’s time on the pitch this season. For this reason, the merengues have started looking for a midfielder who can be useful both in the present and in the future.

Madrid, we read, offered Baturina, a promising player for the Croatian national team, a five-year contract, which however included a loan to a LaLiga club for two seasons. This condition did not convince the player, who is a great admirer of Modric and has the desire to establish himself in one of the main European leagues.

Barcelona, Atlético Madrid and Manchester United are also interested in the midfielder, who for now has no intention of following in his idol’s footsteps. For the moment the player’s present is Zagreb, who wants to decide on his future without being loaned out to gain experience, preferring Croatia to take decisive steps towards a big team.
