Final result: Roma-Bologna 2-3
Roma’s report cards (by Alessio Piazza)
Svilar 6 – Not guilty of the goals. Unlucky on Karlsson’s goal where he almost fails to block the shot.
Left-handed 5 – Lots of grit and malice, little precision and few reflexes. He doesn’t clear the area from the ball that comes close and watches Castro anticipate it and give the guests the lead. It limits itself, as usual, to a few hints of a fight.
Ndicka 6 – Substantially attentive and experienced race. He always closes well on Castro who has a tough time with him.
Angelino 5 – In his area there is a difficult client who is in a good moment, Orsolini. The rossoblù winger often skips him and on one occasion he suffers a play from his rival who loses him 50 meters from the goal and in the second half makes him an accomplice in the goal of the temporary 1-2 of the rossoblù winger.
Celik 5.5 – He offers no solutions, he seems like a foreign body in the Giallorossi midfield. Argues with his teammate precisely because of the various misunderstandings in the movements. From 61′ Dahl 6.5 – Try to shake the wing and create several dangerous opportunities. Maybe he deserved more time.
Cristante 6 – Frustrating match for the Roma captain who can’t find teammates to support him. He preaches in the desert and is forced to stoop too low.
Koné 6.5 – He fights, presses and tries every time he can to come forward with interesting incursions. From the 80th minute Paredes SV
El Shaarawy 7.5 – In the first half he received few balls and even his movements were never rewarded. In the second half, he scores with the first useful ball and reopens the match. Also thanks to a wrong intervention by Skorupski. Nice goal to make it 2-3. The last to give up at Roma.
Soulé 5.5 – With the ball at his feet the technique shows. In movements without the ball he often makes a wrong choice. A few blocked conclusions and little more. From 57′ Shomurodov 6 – The Uzbek winger was the protagonist of the assist for El Shaarawy who sealed the final 2-3.
Peas 6.5 – The most active in the Giallorossi. He tries a few serpentines and throws himself at all the balls. Commendable spirit of sacrifice for the young man, fresh from being called up to the national team. From 61′ Baldanzi 6 – His entry revitalizes the game a bit in his portion of the match but the rossoblù rearguard manages to limit him without giving him too much space.
Dovbyk 5 – Several fights ahead, several fights lost. It’s a one-stop game but he never actually becomes dangerous. The untapped opportunity at the end of the match when he completely clears the ball is incredible.
Ivan Juric 5 – His Roma doesn’t give any answers, just like him who doesn’t show up before the match on DAZN. Maybe he already felt that his future was far from Rome? The fact is that the play expressed by his boys, net of absences, is almost non-existent. Just some nervous reactions and nothing more.
Bologna’s report cards (by Alessio Piazza)
Skorupski 5.5 – Never dangerously involved in the first half. El Shaarawy’s header was completely wrong and reopened the match. He redeems himself with a great save on Ndicka midway through the second half.
De Silvestri 6 – Italiano trusts him again after his latest performances and he responds presently. A careful match without any major flaws, except for the late intervention at the end of the first half which cost him the yellow card. From 46′ Posh 6 – Well done not to sink the blow at the end on Dahl’s breakthrough attempt. For the rest of the match in which he finds himself having to face youngsters who want to show off, but the defender does not disappoint.
Beukema 6.5 – In the first half he cancels out Dovbik on all occasions. He doesn’t give him space and often anticipates him. Some carelessness at the end of the race.
Lucumì 6.5 – The rossoblù rearguard works well in the first and he is an integral part of it. Also good at looking forward when he finds passable spaces.
Miranda 7 – Defensive retreats, good quality offensive phase. An all-round full-back who also shows notable quality when crossing the ball. The assist with which he puts Karlsson alone in front of the goalkeeper is splendid.
Pobega 6 – dirty match in midfield where on several occasions he is good at taking sides on his opponents and reading their initiatives.
Freuler 6 – He distributes the ball and communicates well with his teammate Pobega. Geometries and cleanliness, what Bologna needs to give continuity to the plays requested by Italiano.
Orsolini 7 – We don’t find out today whether it’s a good time. When he tries to break through on the right and come back on the left he always gives the impression that I can cause some problems for the Giallorossi defense. From the 84th minute Casale SV
Odgaard 6 – He moves well and often seeks dialogue with his teammates. Little precision and malice in his conclusions, especially those that occur with his right foot (not his foot). From 67′ Fabbian 6 – Relatively opaque entrance. He limits himself to the task and does not make major mistakes.
Ndoye 6 – Good match from the Swiss winger who starts immediately with a couple of raids. Then in the 23rd minute he was forced to leave the field on a stretcher after attempting to reach a cross shot from Orsolini. Unfortunate. From the 23rd minute Karlsson 6.5 – He takes advantage of Ndoye’s injury to show off and does it well with a great goal. Nice play with Miranda who puts it alone in front of the goalkeeper. The outside is icy and baggy.
Castro 6.5 – The match begins with some imprecise support for his teammates. The killer instinct, however, shows it at the first available opportunity. He pounces on the loose ball and gives his team the lead. From 67′ Dallinga 6.5 – After a few minutes he found the goal which was then canceled out by VAR. Well done in communicating with Karlsson who served excellently and scored the goal to make it 1-3.
Vincenzo Italian 6.5 – Race studied and prepared well. Roma’s delicate moment is also due to this, certainly, but his players do exactly what he asked for at the start of the match: cleanliness and cynicism. The Olimpico was won and the break came at the best time.
