Final result: APOEL – Fiorentina 2-1
APOEL (edited by Christian Sgura)
Belec 6 – He is always careful when called into action, he can’t really do anything about Ikonè’s goal.
Chebake 6.5- He played for the entire duration of the match as a high right winger and his insertions created quite a few problems for the opposing defence.
Petrovic 6 – On Ikonè’s goal he doesn’t give cover to Laifis who is too trivially overcome by the exchange between Kouamè and Ikonè. For the rest of the match he conceded little or nothing to tonight’s non-irresistible Viola attack. (From 88′ Polikarpou SV)
Laifis 5.5 – He makes a serious mistake on Ikonè’s goal, he misreads the exchange between the Fiorentina players, who make no mistakes in front of Belec. Good in the rest.
Quintilla 6.5 – His lane is the most popular one for the Viola attacks, but he concedes very little and plays an excellent match.
Kostadinov 6.5- He is the linchpin of the Cypriots’ midfield and is the author of many important readings in the defensive phase and builds the game with balance and with the right timing.
Tejera 6.5 – The player with the most quality in Apoel’s midfield, tonight he is the protagonist of a total performance in which he alternates both phases in a perfect way, at times he is too impetuous and risks a second yellow, but in the end he emerges victorious. (From 67′ Satsias SV)
Abagna 7 – He had already started well in the opening minutes with many important recoveries on Viola’s ball carriers, then at the end of the first half he also found the joy of scoring with a nice right-footed shot and with the great complicity of the opposing defence. Until the 97th minute he never stops.
Donis 7.5 – The class of 1996, Juventus school, is unstoppable tonight, unlocking the match with a great goal after having practically stripped Kayode, who just can’t contain him. (From 79′ Dvali 6 – He comes in to lend a hand at the rear and does it perfectly.)
Susic 6 – In the end he plays as right back and is lucky, Viola doesn’t pass much from there and if they do, in a terrible way.
El Arabi 7 – He was involved in both of his team’s goals, with two intelligent goals and as a true striker. (From 89′ Bah SV)
Manolo Giménez 7.5- Everyone would have expected Fiorentina’s easy victory in tonight’s match, but their team doesn’t have it and takes the lead with a huge performance. Historic result.
FLORENTINA (edited by Dimitri Conti)
Terracciano 6 – He immediately pulls off a nice but useless save (he was offside), so he sees himself hit twice in a few minutes without being able to do much about it.
Kayode 5 – Pedal to the gas, he seems intent on making fire and flames on the lane, taking advantage of the opportunity. Instead he will have to chase the Cypriots for a good hour.
Moreno 5 – Third appearance, all in the Conference which seems to be the stage identified for him. If the first two went well, this time he doesn’t escape trouble.
From 59′ Ranieri 6 – He takes a position on defense, without making any glaring errors. It gives more certainty.
Martinez Fourth 4.5 – He will also have his strengths in proactive play, but acting as a defender he must be more careful at the back. Yet another race full of errors.
Biraghi 5.5 – He takes back the place on the left wing which has been his almost exclusive property for years. Among the least worst, unlucky on the 2-0 lead.
From 59′ Dodo 6 – It doesn’t change the pace of Fiorentina’s offensive actions, but it always keeps at least a couple of opponents busy at the same time.
Adli 5 – Intending to take control of the midfield right from the start, he seems to be able to do so but then collects errors throughout the first half. Then he goes out.
From 46′ Beltran 5.5 – In Palladino’s hopes he must be the man who leads the comeback, it won’t happen. Struggles to find place and space.
Mandrake 5.5 – Enterprising in the first half, he doesn’t seem to suffer physically from the fact that he is returning from the first minute post-injury. However, it lacks in quality.
Ikone 6.5 – A truly positive play in his performance, however it has a greater specific weight than the others. He kisses the post and halves the deficit.
Richardson 5.5 – Tested for the occasion in the role of attacking midfielder, he gave contrasting responses to Palladino. Movement is not lacking, but speed and danger are.
From 65′ Ox 5.5 – Maybe he didn’t expect that it would be his turn tonight too, the fact is that he doesn’t enter the field with the right attitude, making too many mistakes.
Parisi 5.5 – Palladino also sees him as a more offensive winger and places him among the attacking midfielders. However, he seems to suffer from not being able to start from behind.
From 69′ Gosens 5.5 – The hope is that with his takeover the left wing will become a land of conquest. The Cypriots, on the other hand, easily contain it.
Kouame 6 – He hasn’t found his way to the net since April and it’s clear from the start that he has this desire. He doesn’t stand out for his precision, but he does so for his altruism on the 2-1 goal.
Raffaele Palladino 5 – Very robust turnover, there is only one confirmed (Richardson) among the starters of the last match played in Turin. Among various things, he launches Parisi into the attacking midfield line. He looked for answers from the second lines, but the first half was full of difficulties and saw his team suffer a double disadvantage. He then gradually began to bring in starters from the bench, but the reaction was partial and a defeat occurred.
