Gravina and his re-nomination: “I’ll let you know in a few days, but I won’t decide alone”

Gabriele Gravinapresident of the FIGC, gave an exclusive interview to Corriere dello Sport. Many topics were covered, starting with his future re-nomination for the position he holds: “I will dissolve the reservation in a few days, but I will not decide alone”. Then he explains better: “With the components of Italian football. A federation cannot nominate himself if he does not verify the consensus around his ability to represent a guide for the movement”.

“We need to prepare to change by becoming more autonomous and more responsible at the same time”, says Gravina regarding what emerged from the recent federal assembly. “It means for example that the autonomy of the Leagues in organizing the championships becomes full and no longer delegated by the FIGC. Each League will be able to insert playoffs and playouts without having to give account to the other Leagues and the Federation”.
