Carrarese, Capezzi: “Against Modena in search of important points”

The Carrarese midfielder, Leonardo Capezzi, spoke to the microphones of our official channels, describing his feelings regarding the last championship match and Carrarese’s next commitments.

On the last championship match:
“We faced a team that was not only very strong from a technical point of view, but also well trained and athletically prepared, also returning from an excellent period of form, as certified by their positioning in the standings, constantly at the top of the rankings since the start of the championship . In this sense, I think there should be satisfaction in having snatched a point from a team that could have represented a treacherous obstacle in our path in the championship.
We took to the field with the right mentality, believing right from the start that we could play a match that was up to par and on par with our opponents. However, we were able to propose the race plan prepared during the week and in some situations we could even have prevailed to obtain the full result.”

His personal and team performance so far:
“I am satisfied with my season so far, as I am with the attitude with which the team is approaching this season. Since the summer we have been aware of the difficulties we could encounter during a very challenging championship, given our inexperience as a team in such a high level category, but, despite this, we managed, after an initial adjustment phase, to reach a certain squareness and balance.
Since I started playing football, daily work and sacrifice have been my mantra and it is important that the same applies to my teammates too, we have ample room for growth, but improvement always goes hand in hand with hard work work and sacrifice accompanied by a healthy passion that must push us to give more and more.”

The next match, against Modena at the “Bglia”:
“All the matches that await us between now and the end of the championship represent difficult obstacles to overcome, since this category is made up of only very strong teams, furthermore, Modena, in addition to having a squad of players with a high level of quality, with many players even accustomed to playing on Serie A pitches, he has recently changed coach and the environment will tend to coalesce with the team so it wouldn’t surprise me to find an atmosphere with important competitive tones. For our part, we will have to take the field aware of our qualities, respecting our opponents but without being afraid to impose our mark on the match, in search of important points.”
