Berni: “Napoli, Inter, Juventus and Atalanta, but also Milan, the contenders for the Scudetto”

The former Inter third goalkeeper Thomas Berni spoke to Kiss Kiss Naples in view of the next championship match between the Nerazzurri and the Neapolitans.

Antonio Conte’s Napoli started again with a lot of changes, and even in the running the new coach has already revolutionized the formation. What path are the Azzurri taking? Can they represent the anti-Inter?
“For me, Napoli have hired a top coach, the results speak for him. His way of working immediately shows his mark, both on a tactical and mental level. For me she will certainly be a contender for the title, also because she will only be able to think about the championship, with fewer games in her legs and this can certainly weigh a lot in the long run. Juventus and Atalanta, together with Milan, are teams ready to win the scudetto, and they too will go all the way to play for something important.”

Sommer against Meret. Both very experienced and have already won. Who do you like best and what are their strengths?
“They are two very great goalkeepers, with great experience. Sommer also has it at international level, and for his part he has certainly shown great reliability and calmness between the posts and beyond. In fact, he is also good with his feet, and now the role also includes active entry into the game with a bottom-up approach. The same goes for Meret, they are two goalkeepers that I respect very much, and it is difficult to choose one of the two, because they are excellent professionals and great people both on and off the pitch, where they also assert their leadership within the locker room.”
