Two orange flags leading the Pistoia. The FC Pistoiese club announces the name of the new first team coach: Alberto Villa. Originally from Soresina, Villa wore the orange shirt as a footballer between 2002 and 2005. As a coach, however, the 1979 born player began as an assistant at Carpi, Viterbese and Catanzaro, and then established himself at Pergolettese and Virtus Francavilla. Villa’s last experience on the bench was at Virtus Francavilla, in Serie C, which ended last June.
He will be there alongside Mr. Alberto Villa, as assistant coach Lorenzo Collacchioni. Originally from Florence, Collacchioni wore the orange shirt twice, the first from 2002 to 2007, the second from 2012 to 2014.
FC Pistoiese, therefore, starts again with two former Orange players who remained in the hearts of the fans for the deeds performed on the “Melani” lawn. Villa and Collacchioni, who know the city, the value and weight of the orange shirt well, are now called upon to write a new chapter in their history in orange, leading the first team from the bench.
