PARMA (edited by Christian Sgura)
Suzuki 6.5 – At the end of the first half he made a great save on Frendrup’s left foot, repeated it at the start of the second half on Thorsby, but could do nothing on Pinamonti’s winning tap-in.
Coulibaly 5 – Dominated throughout the match by an unstoppable Martin, he shows little in the offensive phase.
Delprato 6.5 – The excellent moment of the Parma defender continues, who also stands out on the evening at the Tardini for his authority in the ducal rearguard. He saves a practically scored goal from Badelj.
Balogh 5.5 – He wasn’t responsive to Pinamonti’s goal, on this occasion Ekhator, like many other times during the match, made him suffer a lot.
Valeri 6 – Always proactive on the left wing, he wins the match against Zanoli and is one of the best on his team.
Keita 5.5 – He played in trouble in the first half, booked for a foul on Pinamonti on the edge of the area, and was left by Pecchia in the locker room after the break. (From the 46th minute Estevez 5 – He had also entered well, but then he naively lost the ball which started the action for the Genoa goal).
Bernabé SV – Very unlucky to get injured at the start of the match, for such a crystal-clear talent in our championship we hope it’s nothing serious. (From 17′ Haj Mohamed 5.5 – The 2005 class enters coldly and after a few minutes he has a good opportunity which he wastes by kicking badly from an excellent position. Then he also gets hurt by committing the foul on Vogliacco himself and is forced to leave the pitch.). (From 46′ Almqvist 5.5 – A shot from outside the box and nothing more, this is the description of his performance).
Man 5 – Apart from a few rare sporadic occasions in which he tries to make himself dangerous in Leali’s area, in the majority of Parma’s offensive actions in which he participates he makes the wrong choice. It’s not his night.
Sohm 6- He starts the match in the midfield, after Bernabé’s injury he goes to join Keita in midfield and leads an excellent match, not losing his habit of looking forward to look for the goal.
Mihaila 6 – He came close to scoring on a free kick in the area given away by Leali, in the rest of the match he was seen often and was at the center of Parma’s offensive manoeuvre. (From 83′ Benedyczack 6 – He returns to the pitch after months and also comes close to scoring the equalizer. He could be an added value during the season).
Bonny 5 – Overshadowed and completely canceled out by Vasquez, he never manages to worry the Genoa defense. (From 64′ Charpentier 5.5 – He tries to do more than the person he replaces, but the result is the same, he doesn’t find useful spaces or balls).
Fabio Pecchia 5 – The winless period continues and the defeat against bottom-of-the-table Genoa only makes things worse. His most important men mark a visit and it’s true, Bernabé gets hurt and this is also a bad blow, but now we need to give answers or the bench will seriously start to creak.
GENOA (edited by Christian Sgura)
Loyal 6- In the first half he risks the omelette by misjudging Vogliacco’s backward pass and awarding the free kick to two in the area to Parma. Then he was no longer seriously worried by the ducal attack.
Matturro 6.5- Diligent performance from the Uruguayan who, with his physical power and his defensive readings, practically never suffers Parma’s attackers.
Vogliacco 6.5 – Besides the free kick awarded in the first half, he played a solid match without having too many problems.
Vasquez 7 – With his usual grit and aggression that distinguishes him, he annihilates Bonny and anyone who passes near him. Great performance from the Mexican international.
Zanoli 5.5- On the right wing he always looks for the back and is often seen, but his crosses are most of the time out of measure for his teammates. (From 74′ Sabelli 5.5 – Wasted a counterattack that could have been really dangerous).
Thorsby 6.5- On the evening at Tardini he was very active in the offensive phase, with continuous insertions and even came close to scoring on a couple of occasions.
Badelj 6.5 – Pivot of Gilardino’s midfield, his experience is fundamental to guarantee balance to the midfield and in the final he makes a great defensive intervention on a dangerous lunge from Valeri. (From 86′ Masini SV)
Frendrup 6- He comes close to scoring at the end of the first half and only a great response from Suzuki denies the Genoa midfielder the joy of scoring. For the rest of the match he is the usual ball-retrieving scooter.
Martin 6.5- Definitely better than the other winger, his crosses are truly a constant danger for Parma’s defense, Coulibaly suffers from his attacks for the entire duration of the match. (From 74′ Ahanor SV)
Ekhator 7- The 2006 class never stops, he duets well with Pinamonti, scores a goal which is then disallowed and on the goal of his teammate he does most of the work by challenging Suzuki and forcing him to make a short rebound at the feet of the ex-Sassuolo player. At 17 it’s not for everyone. (From 86′ Balotelli SV – He makes his return to Serie A and is immediately recognized with a warning for protests, he obviously still has to recover his best form).
Pinamonti 7- Difficult match for the Grifone center forward, but then the right ball arrives to just push into the net. Fourth goal in the league for him, Genoa have won two matches in the league so far, both 1-0, both with his signature.
Alberto Gilardino 6.5 – Genoa finally returns to victory, thanks to a goal from their center forward. Sharp match that his team brought home with determination and a lot of desire. Now we need to continue like this, waiting for the injured people to return.
