“Today we received an expression of interest from AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano in the “Giuseppe Meazza” stadium and the areas around the stadium itself”. This is what the note from the Municipality of Milan says regarding the presentation by the two Milanese clubs of the expression of interest in San Siro. “This – we read in the official press release – confirms the desire of the clubs to continue with the process referred to in the municipal council resolution no. 28/2023, with a significant new element: we are no longer talking about surface rights but about acquisition of stadium and areas, with the construction of a new facility”.
“Following this, operational meetings will begin with the clubs from tomorrow which, starting from sharing the assessment of the Revenue Agency, will outline the path so that they can present the update of the feasibility document, including the economic framework of the operation “, concludes the Municipality.
Thus spoke the president of Milan, Paolo Scaroni, intercepted by ANSA Rome, where the Football Federation Assembly was held today: “We have planned to send the expression of interest to the Municipality of Milan for today. A further step, conducted together with Inter, to be able to explore the hypothesis of the construction of a new stadium at San Siro”.
