After two consecutive defeats, Roma found success again in the championship. The match against Torino played in a surreal Olimpico which whistled or applauded its players depending on who was the protagonist of the moment ended 1-0. The match that saves (for the moment) Ivan Juric’s bench is decided by the goal scored in the 20th minute by Paulo Dybala, by far the best on the pitch. Deployed as a centre-forward, in that ‘false nine’ role which for years was owned by Francesco Totti, the Argentine played a match of technical and moral leadership. Above all, it allowed Roma to take a breath after very complicated days.

After the lead, we went into some details but we were good, especially in those passages where in the other games we were superficial. I like playing as a central striker, especially against teams that have such blocked defences. My teammates also help me a lot, they are strong and run a lot. They just need confidence , I also thought they could challenge us more. They were rightly angry after the defeat in Florence, we know very well that this is not what Roma deserves. We will work hard to give them more victories.”
