Leao towards the third consecutive bench. Okafor will still be there with Monza

Contrary to what it seemed in recent hours, another bench could materialize for Rafael Leao with Milan. Yesterday coach Paulo Fonseca tried out the number 10 together with the starters, while in today’s training the Portuguese did not wear the bib of the players who should start from the start against Monza.

Should the choice be confirmed, it would be the third consecutive exclusion from the starting eleven for Leao. A strong and clear signal of what are the new hierarchies of the Rossoneri attack in the mind of Paulo Fonseca and which, inevitably, will lead to new discussions on the matter.

In the last few hours, at our microphones, it had been Fabio Capello to have his say on the difficult moment the player is experiencing at Milan: “Everything has already been said. A player with great qualities but a bit lazy. Laziness must be fought by making him understand that he can be a great player but if he continues like this will remain a great unfinished business.”

After the match lost against Napoli, however, it was the Rossoneri coach himself who explained his point of view regarding his compatriot: “It’s difficult for me to decide at the moment. Leao is working to get back into training, for me this is the most positive thing.”
