Final result: Roma-Turin 1-0
Roma’s report cards (edited by Raimondo De Magistris)
Svilar 6 – Quiet evening, he entered the scene for the first time in the 34th on a header from Maripan. Then just another good intervention in the second half on a curling shot from Njie.
Left-handed 6.5 – The argument with Juric shakes him out of his torpor and he immediately sets off at full speed, ensuring great support even in the pushing phase. Convincing performance, he is also attentive in marking.
Ndicka 6.5 – With his arms in offensive projection he also finds himself very far from his penalty area, but the performance is flawless. Always punctual with advance payments.
Angelino 6 – As a left wing player he often finds himself near the grenade area. Then he isn’t always precise in his suggestions, but he doesn’t lack the desire to react.
Celik 6 – It puts a stop to a long series of highly negative performances. Tonight, finally, he doesn’t stand out for a few too many mistakes.
Koné 6.5 – He has important shots and quick thinking. Looking at it, it seems like it is still at 50-60% of its potential, yet that is enough to be up to the task. Already a starter, he can become very important for the Giallorossi dynamics.
Le Fèe 6.5 – Preferred to Cristante he played a performance of order and discipline. He never throws the ball at his feet and often doesn’t limit himself to banal play.
Zalewski 6 – Good performance in the push phase, constantly looking for one-on-ones. From the 79th El Sharawy sv
Peas 6.5 – Unconsciousness or marked personality? Maybe both. Starting again from his enthusiasm for Roma is almost a moral duty because Pisilli at this start of the season is the flower that blooms in a barren field. From the 65th Pellegrini 6 – Very complicated period: he enters amidst the boos and carries them with him until he returns to the locker room.
Baldanzi 6 – Starting from his favorite plate he plays more naturally: good in high-intensity phrasing, but he isn’t able to make the decisive play. From the 79th Cristante sv
Dybala 7.5 – The comparison with Totti is not blasphemous: deployed in the false nine role, he played a match as a technical leader and moral driver. You find him everywhere, almost always near the ball. And then that goal, it seems easy but is anything but trivial: in precarious balance, with a chewed ball, he finds the goal from a very tight position. From the 78th Shomurodov sv
Ivan Juric 6.5 – The tumultuous days served to reawaken a team in disarray. Roma’s approach to the match against Torino was the right one, as a team. And also tactically, we saw a team much more similar to his idea of football.
Torino’s report cards (edited by Paolo Lora Lamia)
Milinkovic-Savic 6 – Not to blame for Dybala’s goal, which was mostly due to Linetty’s carelessness. In the first half, despite Roma’s continued presence in the offensive zone, he was only called into action after a shot from Angelino which he blocked. Even less busy in the second.
Coco 6 – Careful game for the right-wing centre-back, who doesn’t spare himself in his interventions even after having received the yellow card.
Maripan 6 – One of the few who survive in Vanoli’s eleven, always punctual in defensive closures. From 59′ Pedersen 6 – Good impact on the match, for some gallops on the right peppered with inviting crosses into the area.
Masina 5.5 – In the 1-0 action he tried to save on the line, but was quite clumsy in the intervention with which he effectively “secured” the goal.
Vojvoda 5.5 – He has work to do on his side against Zalewski. More enterprising before the break with even a chance, but overall poor performance. From 88′ Tameze sv.
Curls 6 – Certainly the best in the midfield, where he stands out in the interdiction but also plays some quality ball.
Linetty 4.5 – Dybala has him to thank, because he pounces on his horror back pass to Milinkovic-Savic and scores with an empty net. Error, decisive in a very close race. From 80′ Karamoh sv.
Gineitis 5 – Rather shy, in putting himself forward when Toro attacks but also in countering Roma in the midfield. Not surprisingly, his race only lasts a while. From 46′ Njie 6.5 – The best of his team, who approaches the second half in style. With his speed he creates problems for the Roma defense, but above all he challenges Svilar like no other teammate had done.
Lazaro 5.5 – It’s certainly not the usual train in the left lane. There are very few occasions in which he stands out in the final portion of the pitch.
Sanabria 5 – Very anonymous as long as he remains on the green rectangle, in terms of opportunities but also due to the lack of precision in playing the few balls available. From 59′ Vlasic 5.5 – It should move something forward, but it fails to do so. Second part of the match not up to the standard of his other performances.
Adams 5.5 – He does something more in the final meters than Sanabria, at least defending a few balls to get the team up. However, he doesn’t deserve a passing grade.
Paolo Vanoli 5.5 – A more courageous Toro is expected, being encouraged by the success against Como. The pitch, however, suggests something else: the first half was timid if not defeating, the second half wasn’t much better.
