Fourth defeat in the last five games for Paolo Vanoli’s Torino. At the Olimpico in Rome the Granata team approached the match as best they could and entered the match only after half an hour when Roma were already ahead: “I’m angry, we can’t waste time like what happened in the last two games. We need more personality, we knew there would be an injured team up front and we can’t take the field with such a passive attitude. In the second half I had to change something to be more aggressive, but you can’t always take a slap and then react.”
Kosovar footballer Mergim Vojvoda is also on the same wavelength: “In the first half there was a lack of personality, playing with the ball. Roma played well, put us in difficulty and created numerical superiority where they needed to. We were a little too low and struggled to come out with the ball. We created too few opportunities to score goals.”
Since Duvan Zapata stopped, Torino has completely lost the rhythm that characterized the start of the season and now Vanoli is thinking about a change of formation: “I really think I will propose something different. We can also play four-way as we did in the end and this could be a solution to get out of this period. But beyond everything, a different attitude will be needed.”
