Fabrizio Corsipresident of Empoli, spoke to the microphones of Radio TV Serie A: “We sportsmen are superstitious, our scudetto has always been staying in Serie A or promotion from Serie B so I remain faithful to this desire to maintain the category. I know very well that this year too if it arrives, it will arrive through overcoming difficult times. We need the environment, and consequently those who are part of it, to do the best they can.”
The words about coach D’Aversa: “He seems like a coach who grew up with us, the passion for discovering and developing talent seems to belong to him as much as it belongs to us and to this Empoli. We have a youth sector built over the last 20 years which allows us to be proud, capable of producing talent. We are among the youngest teams in the championship, but I think that with the work that has been done, we can grow a lot. The work is important not only in terms of training during the week in anticipation of the match, but also on the young players, who can grow a lot I can already see changes in some guys from July to today. This aspect of the work is what gives me the most confidence.”
These are the words of Rebecca Corsi, vice-president of Empoli, again on Radio TV Serie A on the seasonal objectives: “Empoli has already been to Europe, everything is possible, but we are anchored to what our realities are today. Our ambition and our championship is to remain in Serie A, then if one day we have the strength to raise the bar, we will find out by living.”
