The vice president of Inter Javier Zanetti spoke on the sidelines of the ‘Sport Movies & TV 2024’ event in Milan. The Argentine manager starts again from yesterday’s victory over Empoli, also touching on the next Scudetto match against Napoli: “They are always difficult matches, also because they are close. Yesterday we had to win and give an important response which arrived. We are a team that wants to be competitive”.

Now Napoli, who will also be the main opponent for the Scudetto…
“I know Antonio very well because of the way he works, they are doing well. But we will be there, they are hard-fought and important matches, the two teams have great players and we hope to compete until the end.”

Well in the Champions League with zero goals conceded, while in the championship there is no defensive stability. Why this difference?
“Inter can compete to reach the end in all competitions. We are working on this, the players are aware that we have to improve and we are working every day.”

Lautaro expected something more than 7th place at the Ballon d’Or…
“We all expected a better position, but that’s fine. These awards are like this, Lauti must be calm because with everything he has demonstrated with us and with Argentina, with everything he has won, he has received recognition. We are always at his side.”
