Manchester United have chosen Erik ten Hag’s successor: it will be Reuben Amorim the next coach of the Red Devils. After the departure of the Dutch coach, United moved quickly and firmly towards their main objective, linked to Sporting by a contract with a 10 million euro clause inside. The English club, as we have already told you, is ready to pay the entire amount to welcome the current coach of the Leos.

But when will Amorim make his debut as Manchester United manager? The latest rumors coming from Portugal suggest that the Lisbon native coach is unlikely to sit on the bench as early as next Sunday for the big match against Chelsea. In Bola writes that, despite paying the clause, i Red Devils they will not be able to welcome Amorim immediately as, from the moment of payment of the aforementioned amount, by law Sporting could keep Amorim for another 30 days.

Precisely for this reason the Portuguese club is reportedly asking for another 5 million to release him immediately. Record adds that the parties are in contact to resolve the issue and the most popular idea, at the moment, is that Amorim remains at Sporting until the next international break and therefore leads the Leos in the next three matches against Estrela Amadora, Manchester City (Champions League) and Sporting Braga. We’ll see if things change in the next few hours.
