Alberto Gilardino has released the list of players called up for tomorrow’s match against Fiorentina (kick-off at 6.30pm), which does not include the name of the latest arrival from the free agent market, the striker Mario Balotelli. As already predicted by Gilardino himself, Balo has not been called up and will be able to prepare to return to full fitness.
Goalkeepers: Leali, Sommariva, Stolz.
Defenders: Ahanor, Marcandalli, Martin, Matturro, Sabelli, Vasquez, Vogliacco, Zanoli.
Midfielders: Badelj, Bohinen, Frendrup, Kassa, Masini, Melegoni, Miretti, Pereiro, Thorsby.
Attackers: I. Dorgu, Ekhator, Pinamonti.
In the last few hours, at a press conference, Gilardino drew a point on Balotelli: “Balotelli arrived with great motivation. I spoke a lot with him. At the moment his program includes a week of work, both with the team and with physical tests. He won’t be called up tomorrow. My thoughts will be in a week, on Monday evening in Parma. We think day after day, he is a boy who must be protected in every way. I know what he can give us, as also said in previous conferences, he cannot solve the problems alone it will always be the team.”
