Milan beaten 2-0 by Napoli. But Fonseca believes in the Scudetto: “There are only 9 races”

New setback for Fonseca’s Milan. The Rossoneri team was beaten 2-0 at San Siro by league leaders Napoli and suffered their second defeat in the last three league days, the third in nine games. The goals scored in the first half by Romelu Lukaku and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia decided the match, goals to which the Rossoneri were unable to respond despite a clear and constant dominance of ball possession.

At the end of the match, this is Paulo Fonseca’s analysis: “I am always responsible for what happens on the pitch and this time too I take this responsibility. It is not easy to start the match with a Napoli goal after five minutes, but if we look at the result they scored two goals and we constructed the chances. The team had a good reaction at the start of the match, we played positive football with quality. It’s not easy against a Napoli that ducks and defends in front of their penalty area.”

And more on the Scudetto race: “No team has won the championship after nine games and no team has lost it after nine games, for this reason we must continue on the growth path: clearly we will need results to enter this fight.”
