Speaking on the eve of the Italian derby and therefore of the match between the Thuram brothers, mister Simone Inzaghi he also told us what it was like to face his brother Pippo both as a footballer and as a coach: “These are sensations that remain within me, I challenged Pippo eight times as a footballer and a few less as a coach. I think of the first Juventus-Piacenza at the Delle Alpi, it was something exciting that will remain. Marcus and Khephren have already met in the French League cup, but tomorrow it will be Inter-Juventus and this feeling will remain with them for life, like their parents game and then in our career we played for Scudetti on the last day, with a lot of emotions. To this question I immediately think of that Juventus-Piacenza lost 1-0 with a goal from Pippo Inzaghi.”
On the next step in the growth of his Inter, coach Inzaghi added: “Well, after a scudetto and a Champions League final one might think of stopping, but instead I want to continue to improve with my staff. Football evolves, teams become more and more organized and we always have to do better. All the matches become difficult, just think about the last one against a team that is struggling and has created difficulties for us. We have to improve day after day.”
