200 appearances with Samp, Bereszynski: “I would like to replay the only two derbies I lost”

Bartosz Bereszynski he reached 200 appearances with the Sampdoria shirt in the match in Cesena, wearing the captain’s armband. The Sampdoria full-back recounted his emotions during a very long interview granted to Secolo XIX: “I never imagined I would get to play so many matches in a club like Sampdoria, with an extraordinary history and fans. Having arrived there as captain it makes me even more proud and motivates me to fight for the dream of all of us. I am a flag? I feel very attached to these colours, to Sampdoria and to Genoa. I live in Albaro, I love Ligurian cuisine and trofie with pesto here in 2017, at 24 years old, and now I’m a father of two children. Leo and Bruno were born in Poland, but they are Sampdorians: the first plays for Samp Under 8. I’m not one to talk a lot, I prefer actions to words, but we will always be Sampdorians

What was the best match among the 200?
“The derbies won, without a doubt. I’ve won many, since Giampaolo’s time, and I’ve only lost two. Then I remember with pleasure the 3-0 against Napoli, with an assist from me and a spectacular goal from Quagliarella. But I choose the derbies, with goals from Muriel, Gabbiadini, Sabiri and the last on penalties.”

And the game you would like to replay?
“All the ones I lost. Starting from the two derbies.”

And he scored only one goal, against Cagliari, in 2021, in an empty stadium due to Covid. The fans return to Marassi on Sunday…
“I would like to score another one in front of them by the end of the season. And to do it against Mantova, as soon as we reach 200 appearances, would be perfect…”
