Inter, Inzaghi: “Limited rotations in the next 5 Champions League? Good ranking”

To the microphones of Inter TVthe Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi he spoke after the last-gasp success against Young Boys in Bern, on the synthetic pitch which created some more difficulties for Barella and his teammates. A 1-0 victory arrived in the last minute with Marcus Thuram’s goal, after a nice combination between Lautaro Martinez and Federico Dimarco on the left, all players initially starting from the bench. These are the words of Simone Inzaghi:

“We knew that in the Champions League the matches are difficult, we had a very physical opponent and many Italians suffered here. It’s not easy to get used to the pitch. We created, it was an excellent performance, of character. The Champions League standings after 3 days it’s good”, explained the Inter coach.

He then continues the analysis of the match before projecting himself into the Italian derby scheduled for Sunday against Juventus: “We remained at a distance despite them having a lot of physicality, in the aerial duels we were well organized apart from the post and a few dead balls. We know that we will have limited rotations due to injuries, but we have to play at our best in the next five games. The guys who didn’t play worked on the pitch yesterday. Then we’ll come back and start preparing for the match as best we can.”
