National Amateur League and L’Oréal together for stories of women’s football and equal opportunities

As we read on the official channels of National Amateur League, a path was born on the topic of equal opportunities, promoted by the Social Responsibility Area of the LND in partnership with L’Oréal Italia (the company operating in the beauty and cosmetics sector), which two days ago in Milan – at the headquarters of the aforementioned company – led to a day of discussion with stories of women in sport linked to their ability to overcome every barrier; the same was attended by the CSR Coordinator of LND Luca De Simoni, the Sustainability Leader Director Simone Targetti Ferri and the HR Director-LDB and Head of DE&I Renata Iadevaia. The Venezia 1985 footballer, Agata Centasso, also spoke, one of the protagonists of the ‘Sopra la barrier’ project.

These are the words of De Simoni: “It is essential to have the support of companies like L’Oréal Italia to send the right messages to increase the growth of the women’s movement. There is a need for recognition and identification for girls who want to approach football I am happy with the comparison that arose with the stories of courage and passion of the footballers in the short film ‘Sopra la barrier’. They are examples that can also inspire other stories.”
“Like L’Oréal, we don’t just play the game, we want to change the rules of the game. Talent has no gender, and together we want to go “above the barrier” of stereotypes. We stand alongside women’s football, because we believe in a future where passion and merit win, not prejudice” added Targetti and Iadevaia.

The program therefore included the installation of a small football goal, to reiterate the difficulty of a woman becoming a footballer, kicking stereotypes to the curb (the slogan of the activation was “for a woman to score goals in the world of football is like scoring a goal in this goal”) and it all ended with the inauguration of the photographic exhibition “Sopra la barrier”, conceived by the Social Responsibility Area of the Amateur League as a project that acts as a companion to the short film of the same name , curated by Bonfire. The photographic journey tells and celebrates stories of female footballers through the shots of Mattia Crocetti.
