Reflections underway at Sassuolo: Rossi, coach of the women’s team, under discussion

These are hours of reflection at Sassuolo. Taking advantage of the break for national team commitments, the black-green club is questioning itself on the team’s progress so far in the women’s Serie A. Having started with the ambition of finishing in the top five – and thus competing for the Poule Scudetto – perhaps improving on last season’s fourth place, the team has currently picked up just one point in seven matchdays, is last in the standings and together with Sampdoria is the only team not to have won yet.

Numbers that nail the technician Gian Loris Rossiwho returned to the neroverde after his spell at Sampdoria, to his responsibilities. Of course replace Gianpiero Piovani – who is also demonstrating all his qualities at Inter – was certainly not an easy task, but no one expected a similar collapse with the team which, in addition to demonstrating great defensive fragility, also showed bad performances in what should have been the most difficult matches affordable as against Napoli Femminile, Lazio and Como.

According to reports from Sassuolonews.net the club is reflecting on the future of coach Rossi which could lead to a change of leadership to try to turn around a season that is not yet completely compromised, but certainly well below expectations. In fact, there is that last place to avoid which, this year, is worth the only relegation to Serie B.
