Cairo: “If Real has remade the Bernabeu, why don’t Inter and Milan do the same with San Siro”

Urban Cairopresident of Turingave a long interview to Ticino Welcomein which he also addressed issues relating to football: “Just as it is organized today and as it will be increasingly so in the future, it necessarily involves the coexistence of many different aspects. In my case I can say that everything starts from afar, when as a young I began to play football non-professionally. The passion cultivated over the years for Toro led me to seize the opportunity to purchase that club which has always been in the heart of my family.

As for investments, I must say that today only very few clubs in Europe could, even if they wanted to, support the costs that a high-level team imposes. I am therefore very happy with the fact that my Torino is able to compete with other Italian teams who have budgets many times larger than ours.”

The number one of the granata also collected the Great Spiers of Greater Milan award at the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology, expressing La Gazzetta dello Sport his thoughts on San Siro: “I ask myself: if a club like Real Madrid managed in a spectacular way to remake the Bernabeu, why don’t Milan and Inter do the same thing with the Meazza?”.
