Inter, Sommer: “Before matches I dedicate myself to meditation, it allows me to transform myself”

Yann SommerInter goalkeeper, in his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport he also focused on the next Champions League match in his country, Switzerland, against Young Boys: “It’s nice to be back home, it doesn’t happen often. For now Young Boys are in a bad moment because they have lost points. But it’s a interesting team, then we play on an artificial pitch and it’s just another world. We will have to be very prepared.”

Last year he regretted not being able to go to see Bruce Springsteen’s concert for the national team, this year the Boss returns on June 30th and the problem is the Club World Cup…
“I would really like to see him sooner or later, for me Bruce is the afternoons at home as a boy lying down listening to my father’s vinyls. I read the book and listened to the podcast made with Obama: I love what he plays, what he sings, the idea that represents”.

Do you also listen to it before the match?
“Actually before the matches I have another ritual, there is a precise moment that I recognize in the room in which I stop being Yann and become Sommer, the goalkeeper. I click, I transform: it’s not that I become the Hulk, but it’s a meditation which I need to focus everything and get into the game.”
