Messi has won 102 trophies in his career: he is the most decorated player ever

Lionel Messi he is the player who has won the most trophies in the history of football. The Argentine phenomenon boasts 102 awards (56 individual and 46 team) and yesterday received the MARCA America Award, an award that recognizes his exceptional career.

The award was presented to Flea by Juan Ignacio Gallardo – director of MARCA – and Jorge Mas, owner of Inter Miami together with David Beckham. Messi’s journey into football began with Barcelona in 2004 and continued at PSG and now Inter Miami. With the Argentine national team he won six major titles.

Messi has eight Ballon d’Ors, six Golden Boots and is the historic top scorer of both LaLiga and the Albiceleste. He also holds the record for the most appearances in World Cup history (26 matches). In the summer he added a second Copa America to his palmares and, in early October, won the MLS Supporter’s Shield with Inter Miami.
