Serie B, Bari-Catanzaro: at San Nicola Caserta tries the big shot

Today at 8.30pm the preview of the ninth matchday of Serie B between Bari and Catanzaro will be staged at San Nicola. Moreno Longo’s team is coming off two consecutive draws with Cosenza and Cremonese but has definitely changed pace after the two consecutive defeats in the first two days. The Calabrian club, on the other hand, has not found a victory for 4 days, the last one dating back to September 1st against Carrarese. At the moment Bari are two points ahead (10 points) over Catanzaro.

How Bari arrives
Longo’s team is experiencing a recovery phase after a start to the championship to forget, thanks to the defeats against Juve Stabia and Modena. Since then the Apulians have never lost again, obtaining 6 consecutive useful results which today see them twelfth in the standings with 10 points, just one point behind Cesena, Cremonese, Palermo, Salernitana and Mantova who have 11 points. Longo should confirm the lineup of the last round with Radunovic between the posts, three-man line with Pucino, Vicari and Mantovani. In midfield Maita with Benali and Falletti, Oliveri and Dorval favored on the flanks. Going forward, Lasagna will most likely be supported by Sibilli.

How Catanzaro arrives
Caserta recovers three important players such as Iemmello, Pagano and Pontisso and is looking for victory after 4 games in which they collected two draws and one defeat. The Calabrians should take the field with 3-5-2: Bonini, Scognamillo and Antonini are the favorites to protect Pigliacelli. Petriccione is the favorite as director with Koutsoupias and Pompetti completing the midfield, Situm and D’Alessandro should instead act on the wings. Iemmello returns to the field and will be joined by one of Biasci and La Mantia.
