The president of Pescara Daniele Sebastiani from the columns de The Center he speaks thus of the next FIGC elections, announcing Serie C’s support for the outgoing president: “He governed in difficult years and moreover he is one of us, a manager who trained in the old Serie C and then led it with ability and an innovative spirit” .
Sebastiani then focuses on the requests for resignation that came after the failure to qualify for the World Cup and the terrible last European Championship: “I believe that they are part of our football culture which only looks at the results on the pitch. In the case of clubs, it is usually the coaches who pay, in the case of the national team the discussion becomes broader. Many responsibilities are to be attributed to the clubs because the choice to increasingly focus on foreign players even in the youth sectors are not choices of the federal president. As well as the lack of courage in launching our young people although the national youth teams are doing well.”
Finally, there is room for Pescara with an attack on Milan Futuro who obtained a postponement in the last round due to too many players playing for the national teams: “The rule exists and we respect it, but I don’t agree.
