Tebas: “Club World Cup not necessary for players, clubs or FIFA”

Javier Tebaspresident of LaLigaspoke at the Forum of the Union of European Clubs in Brussels, speaking at The Athletic of the Club World Cup: “It is not necessary neither for the players, nor for the clubs, nor for FIFA. If FIFA uses its funds for this competition, it will take them away from all those places where it says it is there to help We have been talking with FIFA for years, I am sure that we will reach agreements. We are not selfish. We must not fall into the trap which has always been tense to us. If we don’t fall, success will come. Those who negotiate the collective agreement in the national leagues are the league and the unions, we must transfer it to the international world.”
