The mid-week point on the Serie D tournament: dismantle Albenga, Olbia risks the case

The Serie D championship continues, now in its 6th day for almost all of the groups; it is instead in 8th for the groups of 20 teams (Group A, Group B and Group C).
Below is the mid-week point:

GROUP A
After a difficult summer, which however saw the club get back on its feet, Albenga says goodbye to coach Marco Mariotti, who moved to Prato; with him, Sports Director Francesco Virdis also leaves the Ligurian club. Various members of the squad also appear to be saying goodbye, 19 to be exact, we will soon understand what will happen (CLICK HERE for the ranking).

GROUP B
Does Chievo’s slow rise begin? Probably yes, the draw against league leaders Desenzano was certainly an excellent step forward for Mr. Allegretti’s men. Mr. Brognoli’s Sant’Angelo march continues unabated, third and just one point from the top (CLICK HERE for the ranking).

GROUP C
A slow start to the season for Bassano, which is unable to leave the playout zone, while there are few changes at the top, with the Campodarsego-Treviso-Dolomiti Bellunesi triptych which is going at a brisk pace, with probably a very clear objective ( CLICK HERE for the ranking).

GROUP D
Tau Altopascio’s path was devastating, the only team (along with Virtus Francavilla in Group H) to have achieved only successes so far. With the victory over Imolese, then, Mauro Antonioli saves the bench in Ravenna, while there is a turnaround at Prato: the Maurizio Ridolfi-Christian Cesaretti duo is sacked, Marco Mariotti is on the bench. Speaking of coaches, positive debut for Mister Carmine Parlato in Piacenza. Finally, it should be noted that yesterday the injury time was played between San Marino and Lentigione: the final was 1-3 (CLICK HERE for the ranking).

GROUP E
The spotlight is obviously on the big match of the next round, Siena-Livorno, first against second, but we also note the change on the Grosseto bench: after the resignation of Roberto Malotti, who had harshly criticized himself and the team just some time ago, here is Luigi Consonni at the helm of the first Maremma team (CLICK HERE for the ranking).

GROUP F
Surprisingly are the two relegated from C last year, Fermana and Recanatese, who still haven’t taken off. And Mister Sandro Pochesci’s Avezzano is also struggling to recover (CLICK HERE for the ranking).

GROUP G
A grouping that risks being torn apart by the affair linked to Olbia. In fact, according to what was read yesterday in La Repubblica, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office would have opened an investigation into the club after the report of a member, who via PEC, reported acts of racism towards his black teammates (which would also be documented with video and audio) and threats to those who rebelled against such behaviour; all of this, with the hypothesis that there is a ring of illicit betting behind it. Within the testimony, special reference is made to Ninni Corda, currently registered with the Gallura team but in orbit with the first team as a consultant for Swiss Pro, owners of the club. Who obviously dissociated himself from any accusation, but made himself available to collaborate with the Federal Prosecutor’s Office so that everything could be shed light on everything. In the House of Savoy, however, Prince Emanuele Filiberto requested a meeting with the federal leaders, complaining about his team’s poor refereeing (CLICK HERE for the ranking).

GROUP H
Just like Tau in Group D, league leaders Virtus Francavilla have never lost or drawn a match: it is now a long-distance challenge between the two teams, to see who will maintain the aforementioned record. On the opposite side of the table, however, Brindisi has not yet achieved a victory, bringing up the rear of the ranking and still with a 10 point penalty to be disposed of: last year’s relegation from C risks leaving much more serious consequences (CLICK HERE for the ranking).

GROUP I
It was last October 6th, and the match between Reggina and Acireale was suspended due to an illness suffered by the referee: yesterday the remaining time was recovered, starting from 0-1 in favor of the visiting team and with the Calabrians with 10 men . The amaranths, however, manage to find a draw: 1-1, therefore, the final of the match (CLICK HERE for the ranking).
