Pogba vents: “It’s difficult to make passes alone against the wall. France? I have to win my place back”

The suspension will no longer be 4 years Paul Pogba after testing positive in a doping test on September 11, 2023. Indeed, earlier this month, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS of Lausanne) reduced the suspension for the 31-year-old French midfielder to 18 months. In the meantime, however, the Juventus player remained on the fringes of the world of football and went through a period of great difficulty, both personally and career-wise, and to let off steam he gave an interview to the microphones of Sky Sports UK.

From the month of March Pogba will be eligible to play on an official basis and when talking about plans for his imminent future he responded with conviction: “I would very much like to return to the pitch, on any pitch. First of all there is definitely Juventus and I want to start training with my teammates. It’s difficult being able to make passes on my own against the wall. My main goal now is to get back to training, be fit, be on the pitch and do what I love.”

The 31-year-old Frenchman is convinced he can return to his former glory, despite remaining on the bench against Empoli in September 2023. Yet there is hope return to play for the national team too: “That’s what I hope (to play for France, ed.). It’s definitely in my mind, but I have to be ready for it. There are players who deserve to play and be part of the national team. I have to regain my place in the team ”.
