United States Ko in the friendly match with Mexico which took place during the Italian night. The Mexican national team won 2-0 thanks to goals from Raul Jimenez and Huerta Valera. In Mexico, the Mexico defender started and was on the pitch for the entire match Johan Vasquez. In the United States the AC Milan midfielder started from the first minute Yunus Musah and that of Venezia Gianluca Busioboth replaced in the second half by coach Pochettino.
“We didn’t play well,” commented Pochettino, “but I think this type of match is perfect for learning… Mexico were a little better and deserved the victory. For us, it’s a journey that only began a few days ago… We can improve and learn from this performance.”
The “Team USA” coach had to do without several key players for the occasion, including forwards Tim Weah (Juventus) and Folarin Balogun (Monaco).
