The former Inter and Manchester City striker remains free for the moment the idea of arriving at the court of Alberto Gilardino seems to be increasingly distant. Yet the rossoblù coach needs new additions to deal with the injury emergency that seems to have affected his team especially in the offensive department and in the higher quality men.
Yesterday visits to Pereiro
So in the meantime Genoa welcomed Gaston Pereiro. The former Cagliari playmaker, who remained without a contract, carried out the usual medical examinations yesterday and in the afternoon he trained with the team. Today at 3pm his new fans will be able to see him live on the pitch as the club will open its doors to the public for today’s session.
The last experience at Ternana
Born in 1995, he left the island club in June after his contract came to an end. Having arrived in Italy in January 2020 from PSV Eindhoven, he made a total of 71 appearances in Sardinia with nine goals. In the past season, from January to June 2024, he wore the Ternana shirt in Serie B, scoring six goals in 20 appearances between regular season and playout.
