Graziani: “Italy could have done something more. Lukaku? Don’t compare him to Osimhen”

Ciccio Graziani, coach, he is certainly someone who understands a lot about attackers. On the other hand, the 1982 world champion was a great striker and in an interview granted to Radio Mars talks about one of the strikers of this Serie A, Romelu Lukaku, also making a comparison with his predecessor at Napoli Victor Osimhen: “I like Lukaku a lot, he was the ideal center forward for how Conte plays, but we don’t compare him to Osimhen because Victor for me is an added value, even stronger than Lukaku. Napoli awaits five matches before the next break which represents another important exam which can then possibly lead you to graduation. Empoli, Lecce, then the three matches against Milan, Atalanta and Inter are important, but a first serious and true assessment must be drawn up at the end of the first round: in that moment we will understand the real strength of the team.

In the same interview, Graziani also focused on the national team: “Italy-Belgium? The national team played an excellent match, it’s clear that the game has changed with Pellegrini’s exit. The immediate 2-1 cut the legs of the Azzurri, but perhaps something more could have been done, even if with ten men, and not just one shot on goal, that of Frattesi. The path taken by Spalletti would seem to be the right one, but we are more interested in qualifying for the World Cup than in the Nations League, that’s the only objective!”
