Italy, Pellegrini returns home after the expulsion: Spalletti calls Zaniolo in his place

Nicolo Zaniolo takes Lorenzo Pellegrini’s place in Luciano Spalletti’s group. After his expulsion yesterday at the Olimpico, the Roma captain has already returned to his club and the coach has called the Atalanta striker in his place.
Zaniolo is expected in Coverciano during the afternoon and will integrate the Italian group ahead of Monday’s match against Israel. The Italian team will continue their preparation as scheduled, with a training session behind closed doors starting at 4:00 pm.
