During this break Thiago Motta will work with a Juventus with very reduced ranks, without the eleven national teams currently traveling around the world and without anyone else who appears on the injured list. It belongs to the latter category Teun Koopmeinerswho was unable to respond to Holland’s call due to a pain in his side resulting from the last league match drawn against Cagliari: the former Atalanta player suffered a blow during a tackle and was forced to leave early the dispute.
The Dutch midfielder went to JMedical in the morning to take the necessary exams. Result? Slightly displaced fracture of the second anterior right rib. This was announced by Juventus themselves through an official press release: “Teun Koopmeiners, following the persistence of painful symptoms suffered at the end of the first half of the match against Cagliari, underwent diagnostic tests this morning, 10 October 2024, at the J|medical which highlighted the presence of a slightly displaced fracture of the second anterior right rib. The player will be subjected to the appropriate therapies and his recovery will be evaluated based on the symptoms.”
So when will we see Koopmeiners back on the pitch? Certainly not immediately. In fact, when the championship resumes, Koop will be absent. The player will therefore miss the top-ranking match against Lazio. In the next few days we will know more about recovery times and we will understand if Thiago Motta’s playmaker will be able to be present in the Champions League match at the Stadium against Stuttgart, three days later than Lazio, or for the Derby d’Italia against Inter on 27 October.
