Frosinone, medical report: successful shoulder surgery for Distefano

Through its official channels the Frosinone has released a medical report on the conditions of Filippo Distefanoa forward born in 2003 who arrived on loan from Fiorentina last summer after being injured during last weekend’s championship match against Carrarese:

Frosinone Calcio announces that today the footballer Filippo Distefano underwent surgery on his left shoulder following a lesion of the joint capsule and an infringement of the glenoid labrum. The operation, performed by Prof. Di Giacomo at the Concordia Hospital in Rome, was a perfect success. The player will begin the rehabilitation program immediately.

This is a real blow for the former Catanzaro coach Vincenzo Vivarini which in recent weeks has already lost, in the same department, Frank Tsadjout and Emanuele Pecorino. To date, for the central striker role, in fact, only the 2003 Ambrosino and the 2004 Sene, another product of the Viola’s academy, remain available to the Ciociari.
