Pisilli was one step away from Sampdoria in the summer. Then De Rossi held him back

A few weeks ago Niccolò Pisilli was one step away from Sampdoria. He had to go on loan to Serie B, without the right to buy, to get some matches under his belt with a professional team. Probably no one would have expected him to become the starter, also thanks to the intuition of Daniele De Rossi, who first retained him and then started him. If it is true that Pisilli has been through the entire national team ranks, so he is certainly not an upstart in the Azzurri environment, on the other hand we must admit that he has been the revelation of this start to the championship. And perhaps call-ups in general, despite knowing that Nations matches can be luxury friendlies where you can try something different.

Pisilli, however, is the common point in the differences expressed by Roma and Juventus. He arrived in the first team without going on loan in Serie B, like his former Primavera teammates such as Pagano and Cherubini. Talents that could even get lost if not followed meticulously. With the necessary proportions, Pisilli can seem like De Rossi, the other two should hope to be Florenzi who left Crotone and then earned himself many appearances with the Giallorossi shirt. Juve develops players in the Next Gen and then sells them, with capital gains. Roma lends them and hopes that they can then return, but without much hope.

The difference was made by Bove who, moreover, said he wouldn’t have wanted to leave. But the youth of the nursery are dry capital gains and therefore, in a purely budgetary dynamic, they are perhaps the best to sell.
