The 2024/2025 Italian Super Cup will be staged, once again, in Saudi Arabia. The Lega Serie A made the decision official with a press release: “The EA Sports FC Supercup will be played in Saudi Arabia for the fifth time. As with the great American professional leagues, the Lega Serie A, since 1993, has been exporting and promoting its brand abroad. The Italian Super Cup, in fact, has been held four times in Saudi Arabia and China, twice in the United States and Qatar and once in Libya.
The 37th edition of the Tournament will take place in Riyadh and like last year it will be played with the four-team formula, which includes two direct elimination semi-finals (2 – 3 January 2025) and the final on 6 January 2025. The clubs that will compete the EA Sports FC Supercup will be the Italian Champion Club 2023/2024 (FC Internazionale), the winner of the 2023/2024 Frecciarossa Italian Cup (Juventus FC), the second place in the Championship in the 2023/2024 season (AC Milan) and the finalist of the last Italian Cup Frecciarossa (Atalanta BC).
The first Semi-final will be Inter – Atalanta (Thursday 2 January 2025), the second Juventus – Milan (Friday 3 January 2025). The Final between the winners of the Semi-finals will be played on Monday 6 January 2025. The Cup will be awarded in the innovative “Kingdom Arena”, the most modern indoor multi-sport facility in the entire Middle East and North Africa. The venue is equipped with the most advanced technologies both in terms of television shooting and for sound engineering and light design.
All the meetings will be broadcast live on television in Italy on the Mediaset networks and can also be followed in 160 other countries around the world that have already acquired the audiovisual rights of the event. The competition rules will be announced in the next few days.”
