Awards day at the CONI Hall of Honor in Rome, with the Inter coach, Simone Inzaghi who received the Manlio Scopigno award. The coach then made some statements: “It’s always a pleasure to receive this award. I was lucky to win it like Bigica when I was training in the spring and now with the first team. It’s an award named after two important people, I don’t know Manlio Scopigno but I saw the images from his time at Cagliari. Today would have been Maestrelli’s birthday, I saw his son and a memory goes to him. Thinking of Felice Pulici I inevitably think of my career as a footballer, in ’99 I arrived at Lazio and he was a manager. with Governato, two extraordinary people. Pulici was very important for my career, I was a young boy who came from Piacenza and he helped me to win this recognition.”
Then also words on Marcus Thuram: “He seems to be better, there is a bit of apprehension. Now the France staff will also see it and I hope he can recover quickly”. Here are Inzaghi’s other words
