Morning of awards for various protagonists of our Serie A, but not only. In Rome, in the Hall of Honor of CONI, the ceremony for the delivery of the Manlio Scopigno Award. Among those present, also the Inter coach Simone Inzaghithat of Parma Fabio Pecchiatwo of the winners and the now former defender of Juventus, Milan and the national team, Leonardo Bonucci.

Leonardo Bonucci himself, who received the “Lifetime Achievement Award for the image of Italy in the World”, spoke thus from the stage regarding his decision to leave football: “Now I’m fine, for me it was an automatic decision. I was already thinking of quitting at 37, I wanted to start the path that I hope will lead me to follow the seasons that these great coaches here are having. I took the decision, no one forced it on me, when you are at peace with yourself you make the best decisions. Mourinho’s words were particularly welcome because they were received by a great coach. I still remember that match in Manchester, it was a great team match not just in the department. They are words that push you to give more and more, I did it until May 28th when I stopped and this was the secret of my career. Fortunately I have stopped now, I am more at peace because I have been working for 20 years with these pressures it’s not easy. It’s important to get help, the help from a psychological point of view is just as important as the work that takes place on the pitch with the coaches.”
