Argentina: with Nico and Dybala out, Scaloni thinks of Castellanos and Soulé

With the injuries of Nico Gonzalez and Paulo Dybala, Argentina’s coach, Leonel Scaloni, is evaluating possible replacements for the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches, against Venezuela (10 October) and Bolivia (16 October). The coach could call only one player and among those eligible are Valentin Castellanos, protagonist of a great start with the Lazio shirt and Matias Soulé who, on the contrary, is experiencing moments of great difficulty at Roma. Another candidate for the call-up is Giuliano Simeone, son of Diego, with whom he is sharing the experience at Atletico Madrid.
