Quagliarella and his ‘special match’: “Samp-Juve Stabia will certainly be a good challenge”

“I would define it as a “special” match. It will certainly be a good challenge. I know how important and unique the match against Sampdoria is for Juve Stabia, but also for its fans and all of Castellammare. The only disappointment concerns the closed doors”: thus, in an interview given to La Gazzetta dello Sport on newsstands today, the former striker Fabio Quagliarella, who spoke as the opening match of the 8th day of the Serie B championship between Sampdoria and Juve Stabia approaches (kick-off at 8.30pm). He was born in Stabia but was an icon of the Dorian formation.

Quagliarella then analyzed the two teams: “Samp is more structured than last season, it has players of category and experience, who must always find a place in a group, even in Serie A. And then there are also young people who in important moments they give you a hand. As far as Juve Stabia is concerned, however, the club’s skill was first and foremost in maintaining the promotion team for the most part. The players know Mr. Pagliuca’s working method, and so does the inclusion of the new ones it was easier. It was good football, aggressive, but at the same time humble.”

He then concludes with a note on the Serie B standings, replying when asked if it reflects the absolute values: “Having said that you should always expect a couple of surprises, it seems so to me.”
