Juric: “Soul is a total misunderstanding. One year in Serie A with Frosinone, enormous expectations here”

After the interview with ‘Sky’, the coach of Rome Ivan Juric in the press conference he reiterated a concept: at the Boras Arena where his team lost 1-0 against Elfsborg he saw many positive things. “I’m not disappointed at all, sometimes it’s strange. We are disappointed with the result, but I saw improvements in the level of play and in ideas. We could have done better in certain choices, we could have scored goals, but I also saw many positive things. Where we need to improve a lot and it’s in reactivity, there are moments in which even with numerical superiority we weren’t able to be aggressive. Something was missing in attack, we conceded a few too many counterattacks, but we also conceded a random goal.”

What happens with Soulè?
“Soulè isn’t as decisive at the moment as he would like, but here it’s a total misunderstanding. He spent a year in Frosinone, but let’s give him time. It’s true that the expectations in Rome are enormous but let’s let him grow. I like the fact that never hide. Was artificial turf a factor? We don’t want excuses.”

These are the figures of the operation that brought Matias Soulè from Juventus to Roma this summer: “Juventus Football Club SpA announces that it has reached an agreement with AS Roma for the definitive sale of the rights to the sporting performances of the player Matías Soulé Malvano for a consideration of €25.6 million, payable in four financial years, plus with variable premiums up to a maximum of €4 million. This operation generates a positive economic impact on the current financial year of €22.4 million, net of charges”.
